Slow growing and needing very little attention, the Canary Island Date Palm is one of the easiest palms to grow. If growing in tubs/pots, repot every spring and again in late summer if necessary. Fertilise every 2 weeks during its growth season with a standard liquid fertiliser. While mature plants are drought tolerant, younger plants require regular watering. Due tt's large size when mature, It is advised not to plant thuis large tree within 4 maters of your house.
