Xanadu is an evergreen, low shrub with a compact, tidy growth habit and attractive lobed leaves. It rarely exceeds 1m x 1m and usually grows to around 75cm high.
Xanadu can be grown in most areas of Australia, requiring some protection in the colder parts of the year. It prefers full sun, so if grown in containers needs a well lit position. Unlike some philodendrons, it will not product air roots or try to overtake the garden.
With its low compact habit and pest-free nature, it is an ideal way to introduce that tropical look or to blend with other tropical plants in the garden. It likes to be kept moist in free draining soil and fertilised at the beginning of Spring.
