The Magnolia soulangeana ‘Vulcan’ commonly known as vulcan magnolia, is a species bred in New Zealand and found in cooler climates. The flowers are large, dark red and lightly perfumed.
The Deciduous Vulcan magnolia is a slow growing and long living plant.
Pruning in late winter will ensure an abundant host of flowers for the upcoming season.
The varieties of hybrids in the Magnolia family produce a range of beautiful flowers that make great features in backyards. The Magnolia family plants are also slow growing and will live for a long time if maintained.
