'Seiryu' is a very unique variety of the Japanese maple.
The japanese maple 'seiryu' has thick bright green foliage during spring, then by late summer the foliage is a deep red colour. Winter brings another foliage colour change to a yellow/gold colour, which makes the japanese maple 'seiryu' a very interesting plant.
The japanese maple 'seiryu' also has red flowers that appear in mid spring, then red fruit in late autumn.
Mulch well and fertilize with a general purpose slow release fertilizer or compost in early spring.
