Originating in Southeast Asia, the Michelia Alba is highly regarded for it's exceptionally fragrant flowers. In some cultures it is considered a ‘good luck’ plant. Its light green foliage offers a great contrast in the garden, and is well suited to indoors.
This evergreen can grow up to 8 meters in ideal condition,. Though when kept in a pot of ~50 lt or so, it will only get to ~3mt This is a great buy for the backyard or near your BBQ area as a feature.
The Michelia Alba prefers to be protected from Melbourne’s hot dry northerly winds in summer, making it ideal for in patios and alfresco areas and in protected parts of the garden. This plant can also be grown indoors, and in darker entertainment rooms if taken out side periodically.
