Leucadendron salignum is the most widespread species of the leucadendron family.
The Oriental Blush is a great plant for the garden and for flower arrangements. This shrub has green leaves and during winter to spring produces a red/purple blush. The Oriental Blush is dioecious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dioecy ) and grows to 2M high and 2M wide.
A very drought hardy plant, like all Leucadendrons, the Leucadendron salignum wants to be fertilized in spring with native slow release fertilizer or compost before mulching.
