Callistemon 'Kings Park Special' is a native shrub with spectacular crimson spikes that flower during spring and summer. Named after kings park in Perth W.A. where it was 1st cultivated.
The Kings Park Special is a species of the Callistemon family and is very coastal and drought tolerant. This evergreen Callistemon can be used as an informal screening plant and to attract native bird life.
Known for it’s masses of flowers The kings park special is also a very drought hardy plant that while preferring an open position, will thrive in most areas with appropriate watering.
A very drought hardy plant, like all Callistemons, the Kings park special callistemon wants to be fertilized in spring with native slow release fertilizer or compost before mulching.
